During one of my wonderful bouts of 4am insomnia, I was thinking about how funny the biohazard symbol represents, well, a potentially biological threat to humans, and how the yin-yang symbol shows the equilibrium or balance between positive/negative...good/evil...etc etc.

The economist in me thinks in terms of equilibrium way too much...that's one of the reasons I like the yin-yang symbol. Finding the balance...if there indeed is one.
